Assistant Clinical Professor of Hematology Oncology

Misagh Karimi, M.D. has previously practiced at UC Irvine medical center, as well as Oregon Health and Science University as an assistant professor in hematology and oncology. Dr Karimi headed the clinical research unit of OHSU Community Oncology program and was intimately involved in bringing the cutting edge clinical trials in medical oncology to treat cancer patients. His research background is in several areas in GI oncology but he also has interest in lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer and other general medical oncology and hematology diagnoses.
His personal hobbies and interests include spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys recreational activities such as jogging, basketball and biking. He states, “I strive to keep abreast of new technology, to offer superior individualized treatment and clinical trials – when appropriate, for all my patients.”
