John M. Wryobeck is a clinical psychologist and associate professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine and Life Sciences (UTCOMLS). He is Board Certified in Clinical Psychology. He has been trained in and practices cognitive behavior, interpersonal, and acceptance and commitment therapy, along with motivational interviewing. He works with patients having a variety of psychiatric illness, with most having a co-occurring chronic medical illness. He also works with healthcare providers struggling with mental health related issues including stress and burnout. He is also involved in the education/training of medical students, residents and clinical psychology students in doctor-patient communication and delivering brief health and psychological interventions.
