Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men, after skin cancer, and the second-leading cause of death from cancer. In 2022, there will be approximately 268,490 new cases of prostate cancer and 34,500 deaths. Treatment of prostate cancer is often successful. There is controversy regarding the best screening and treatment approaches for prostate cancer. Physicians should be aware of current best practices and guidelines for those at risk or diagnosed with prostate cancer.
